Our Mission
The mission of the Valatie Community Theatre is to create and maintain a vibrant and welcoming performance space in the historic Valatie Theatre, while honoring the rich Valatie Community Theatre history. We ensure our productions and performances remain inclusive and affordable, striving to bring neighbors together to build connections, instill a love and appreciation of the community arts in Valatie, and enrich the lives of our growing community of performers and audiences.
Our Historic Theater
The Valatie Community Theatre, a cherished part of the community arts in Valatie, is owned by the Village of Valatie and operated by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors. While we hire theatre professionals such as Directors and Music Directors as well as other performers, we do not employ any paid staff. Our mission at the Valatie Theatre is to keep ticket prices affordable and to provide opportunities for anyone interested in participating in our theatrical productions. Notably, we are the only youth theatre program in the area that does not charge participants. We encourage you to become a member, a donor, or a volunteer, and we invite you to attend our shows. We sincerely thank you for your continued support, which helps shape the vibrant history of the Valatie Community Theatre.
